Rudolph Cornelius O. Ask passed away at his home in Rock township, Sunday evening, August 7, 1932, at the age of 49 years. He had suffered from a complication of diseases over a period of six years. Much of the time he had been bedfast.
He was born December 22, 1882, in Cedar township, Mitchell county, Iowa, a son of the late Ole L. and Olava Ask. He resided through life in the community where he was born. He was baptized and confirmed in the Rock Creek Lutheran church by the Rev. Johan Olsen. At the time of his death, he was a member of the First Lutheran church of St. Ansgar, Iowa.
May 5, 1926, he was united in marriage with Gunia Nubson. To this union one child, Stanley Russell, now 5 years old, was born.
Besides the widow and son, the deceased is survived by the following brother and sisters; L. A. Ask, Mrs. E.G. Nelson, Mrs. Carl Haugen, W.B. Ask, Mrs. Iver Rossum, Mrs. T.O. Synsby, all of this vicinity, and Mrs. C.O. Blakstvedt, of Lanesboro, Minn. He enjoyed a wide acquaintance and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. T.P. Solem, at 1:00 and at the Immanuel church in Osage at 2 P.M.(due to redecoration of the First Lutheran in St. Ansgar), with interment at First Lutheran Cemetery.
