OBITUARY: Alma M. Brandt, Mitchell County, Iowa
[ St. Ansgar Enterprise, May 1, 1980]
Funeral services for Miss Alma M. Brandt, a native of St. Ansgar, who died at Villa del Sol in Marshalltown, April 18, were held at the Pursel-Davis chapel in Marshalltwon with the Robert Trinklein officiating and graveside services were held April 22 at the Immanuel Lutheran cemetery here with the Rev. Norman E. Betke officiating.
Alma Millicent Brandt was born in a rural home in Union township, Mitchell County, the daughter of Frederick Brandt, Sr. and Emilie (Schroeder) Brandt. The family moved to Newburg Township. . . . [ approx. 135 words ommitted]
She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and a nephew. Her survivors are two nieces, Flora Gerdts of St. Ansgar and Glenda Olson of Austin, Minn.; and a nephew in Charleston, S.C.; three great nephews, two great nieces....
