Funeral services for Grace Austinson, 88, who died January 23, were held Tuesday, January 25, 1994 at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.
Grace (Schumacher) Austinson was born March 8, 1905 to John and Delma Sisson Schumacher in Lyle, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed November 20, 1936 in the LeRoy Lutheran Church. She married Helmer Austinson in December of 1929. They farmed in the LeRoy, Minnesota area.
Her husband passed away in January 1951. In the fall of 1951, Grace moved near Toeterville and kept house for Martin Robertson. After his death she move to St. Ansgar. She entered the Good Samaritan Center, December 20, 1988.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Moen of Austin, Minnesota; one brother, Albert Schumacher, Park Rapids, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Helmer, her parents, one sister, Maggie, and two brothers, Clarence and Melvin Schumacher.
Burial was in the Six Mile Grove Cemetery.
