Funeral services were held Monday, July 25, 1988 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, for Edith Gleason, 75, of Osage. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mrs. Gleason died Thursday, July 21, 1988, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage.
Mrs. Gleason was born January 15, 1923 at Rose Creek, Minnesota, to Adolph and Alma (Peterson) Lindell. She attended grade school and high school in Rose Creek until her senior year when her parents moved to Austin, Minnesota. She graduated from Austin High School in 1930 and teachers training school in Austin in 1931. She taught for four years in rural Mower county schools.
On July 15, 1936 she was married to Emil Klaehn at Austin. He died in 1947. She married Charles Gleason on Aug. 26, 1950 in Osage. They farmed near Osage until retiring and moving to Osage in 1977.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one brother; and an infant brother.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Karen) Fox of Riceville, and Mrs. Fred (Janice) Sorenson of Omaha, Nebraska; and six grandchildren.
