VERNON KUNTZ

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 3, 1988 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, for Vernon Kuntz, 72, of rural Grafton. Burial was in the Grafton cemetery. Mr. Kuntz died Saturday, April 30, 1988, at his home.

Mr. Kuntz was born on September 30, 1915 in Barton Township, Worth County, to Fred and Lydia (Bruesewitz) Kuntz. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1934.

On December 25, 1942 he was united in marriage to Laura A. Eske at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Osage. They farmed in the Grafton area until retiring in 1981.

Mr. Kuntz especially enjoyed hunting and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Laura of rural Grafton; two sons, Rodney and Corrie, both of rural Grafton; siz sisters: Mrs. Albin (Ruth) Krueger of Osage, Mrs. Ella Priem and Mrs. Elmer (Pearl) Rosenberg, both of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Clarence (Ethel) Walk of Grafton, Marcella Kuntz of Mason City, and Lois Westendorf of Des Moines; two brothers, Kermit of Grafton and Gene of St. Ansgar; and by seven grandchildren.
