MRS. O. THORSON DIED THURSDAY
Well Known as She Was a Lifelong Resident of St. Ansgar
Funeral services for Mrs. O.H. Thorson, 71, a life-long resident of this community, were conducted Monday from the First Lutheran Church, the Reverend Olaf Langehough officiating.
Mrs. Thorson died at her home in the east part of town last Thursday night. Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erick Stovern, she was born on a farm north of town September 2, 1864. She attended school in this community and later was employed as a teacher in the rural schools and also served as a milliner and dressmaker here.
Since the death of her husband, O.H. Thorson, about 10 years ago, two sisters, the Misses Marie and Maren Stovern had been making their home with her. Another sister, Lizzie, and a brother, Ed, Survive.
