Albert William Bruggeman [1938-1980]
Funeral services for Albert W. Bruggeman, 41, of rural St. Ansgar, who died at his home January 7, 1980, as the result of a farm accident, were held January 9 at St. Peter Lutheran church, Toeterville, with the Rev. Robert Kruempel officiating.
Albert William Bruggeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Bruggeman, was born in Otranto township, Mitchell County, Iowa, September 21, 1938 where he grew to manhood.
He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in early childhood, and received his religious instructions and was confirmed by the Rev. Eric Meyer at St. Peter Lutheran church, Toeterville.
He farmed with his father until his marriage October 4, 1959, to Karen Newton. Three children were born to them, James Donald, John Dean and Robin Ann.
Baby John Dean preceded his father in death. After his marriage they lived on a farm south of Osage. In 1962 they moved on the Bruggeman Brothers farm north of Toeterville until they purchased the farm were they now reside.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; one son, James; a daughter, Robin; who are both at home; his parents, August and Phyllis Bruggeman; one sister, Mrs. Eugene Myrhe of Lyle.
Burial was in St. Peter Lutheran cemetery, Toeterville, with Rev. Kruempel in charge of the committal services.
