Died Thursday in Osage.
(Pub: July 30, 1964)Funeral services for Henry B. Hansen, 83, of St. Ansgar were held Monday at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. The Rev. Walter Carlson of Deer Creek Lutheran church, was in charge. Mr. Hansen died Thursday at the Osage Nursing Home. He had been in failing health three years.
Henry Bernhart Hansen, son of Halvor and Anne Mork Hansen, was born Feb. 3, 1881, in Otranto township, Mitchell county. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by the Rev. J. Mueller Eggen. Mr. Hansen attended the public schools in Otranto townshp and Cedar Valley seminary in Osage.
His marriage to Ida Nesset took place Sept. 25, 1901. Mr. Hansen was a grain dealer in elevators in Bottineau, Barton and Pleasant Lake, N. D. Wibaux, Mont. and in St. Ansgar. He was also engaged in the grocery and poultry business in St. Ansgar, living here since 1930.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a brother George and a sister Mrs. Martha Richards.
Survivors include three sisters, Ella Hansen of St. Ansgar, who has made her home with him since the death of his wife, Mrs. Hannah Thomson of Lyle and Mrs. E. B. Sherman of Wibaux, Montana.
