Funeral Services For Henry Kittleson Held Tuesday Afternoon

Funeral services were conducted for Henry Kittleson Tuesday afternoon at the Norris Anderson home at 1:30 P.M. and at the First Lutheran Church at 2:00 P.M. Interment was in the First Lutheran Cemetery.

Herman Henry Kittleson was born April 28, 1872 on a farm in Newburg Township, the son of Knut and Tonie Kittleson. He was baptized May 16, 1872 by Reverend Johann Olson. He grew to manhood on the farm where he was born and was married September 29, 1915 to Grace Christy. To this union were born two sons and two daughters. He farmed in the vicinity of St. Ansgar for several years and then purchased a home in town where he lived for about 15 years. After selling his home he lived with his children.

He has been in failing health for several years and was taken seriously ill two months ago and was confined to his bed since that time. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Norris Anderson on March 23 at the age of 75 years, 19 months and 12 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 15 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his four children, pearl (Mrs. Victor Tostenson) of Hollandale, Minnesota, Melvin and Clifford of St. Ansgar, Ardella (Mrs. Norris Anderson) of Lyle, Minnesota, two step-sons, Lyle Christy of Austin and Malcolm Christy of St. Paul, Minnesota, one brother, Theodore of St. Ansgar, his wife and seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were John Tollefson, James Hume, Fernie Knaak, Albert Rachut, Clarence Halvorson and Frank Betow.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Kittleson, Buffalo, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Rodemaker of Osage.
