CARPENTER, IOWA -- Curtis W. Bublitz, 27, of Carpenter, died Sunday, May 29, 1988, from injuried sustained in a car accident south of Carpenter.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. Rev. Norman Betke will officiate, with burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemeetery, St. Ansgar. Visitation will be one hour before services Wednesday at the church, Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bublitz was born on April 16, 1961, at Osage, to Robert and Patricia (Cummings) Bublitz. He worked at Fieldstone Cabinetry in Northwood.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Patricia Bublitz, St. Ansgar; two sisters, Darlene, Clear Lake; and JoAnn Fischer, Mitchell; one brother, James of Waverly; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Bublitz, St. Ansgar, and Viola Cummings, St. Ansgar; nieces and nephews.

Curtis Bublitz

Funeral services for Curtis Wayne Bublitz, 27, of Carpenter, who died Sunday, May 29, 1988 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident south of Carpenter, were held Wednesday, June 1 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Reverend Norman E. Betke officiating.

Mr. Bublitz was born at Osage on April 16, 1961, the son of Robert and Patricia (Cummings) Bublitz. He was baptized into the Christian faith June 18, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by the Reverend Walter Wolfram of Ventura with Richard Trettin and Arnold and Wilma Bublitz as sponsors. He was confirmed there April 11, 1976

He received his education at St. Ansgar schools and was graduated in 1980. He was employed at Fieldstone Cabinetry, Northwood. He enjoyed the out of doors, especially trapping, fishing, hunting and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Oliver Cummings of St. Ansgar.

Survivors include his parents, Bob and Pat Bublitz of St. Ansgar; a brother, James of Waverly; sisters, Darlene, Handicap Village, Clear Lake; Mrs. John (JoAnn) Fischer of Mitchell; a niece, Jamie Fischer of Mitchell; his maternal grandmother, Viola Cummings and paternal grandparents, Arnold and Wilma Bublitz, all of St. Ansgar.

Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
