Sandra Bustamantes Funeral Held At Immanuel Lutheran
Funeral services for Sandra Kay Bustamantes, 9, who died as the result of a highway accident Friday, June 18, 1976, in St. Ansgar, were held Tuesday, June 22 at the Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. N. E. Betke officiating.
Sandra Kay Bustamantes was born July 12, 1966, in Osage, the daughter of Larry and Sylvia (Jenkins) Bustamantes. She was baptized August 21, 1966 at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell by the Rev. William Kamke.
Sandra was a student at St. Ansgar Elementary School, having just completed the fourth grade. She along with her parents, became members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church here December 14, 1967. She was a pupil in the Immanuel Lutheran Sunday School and Vacation Bible school. Sandra was a Junior Girl Schout of Troop 199 of St. Ansgar and actively helped with the Girl Scout recycling project.
Miss Bustamantes is survived by her parents; one sister, Wanda; one brother, Michael; Mr and Mrs. Frank Carranza of Bancroft; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Ira Jenkins of Mitchell; three aunts, Mrs. Clifford Christianson of Osage, Mrs. Jody Roll, Osage, and Mrs. John Coronado of St. Ansgar; four uncles, Tony Carranza of St. Ansgar, John Carranza of San Diego, California, S/Sgt Cookie Carranza of Minneapolis and Victor Carranza of Bancroft; also cousins and friends.
Burial was at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Betke in charge of committal services.

Youth Killed
In MishapSandra Kay Bustamantes, 9, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bustamantes of St. Ansgar, was killed here Friday. June 18, at about 6 p.m. in a bicycle-truck collision on Fourth Street in front of Jim's Electric.
The youth was dead on arrival at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital. Sandra drove her bicycle into the path of a pick truck driven by William Fox of rural St. Ansgar. No charges were filed. Miss Bustamantes became the third fatality of 1976 in Mitchell county.
