Harold Buringrud, age 60, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, died on Saturday, July 16, 1994 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.

A potluck memorial luncheon for Harold Buringrud was held Sunday, July 24, in Fairfield, California.

Harold F. Buringrud, a native of Worth county, resided in Fairfield and Vacaville, California for the past 31 years. He was a retired math and metal shop teacher at Travis Air Force Base. He was also a gold coach. In February he retired from the 349th Wing at Travis Air Force Base with the Air Force Reserves.

Harold is survived by three children, two sons, Hal B. of Wisconsin, and Joel, Suisun, Calif.; a daughter, Alane Llacuna, Fairfield, Calif.; three sisters: Elaine Winemiller, Suisun, Calif.; marilyn Halvorson, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sharon Mears, West Point, Calif; Sylvia Buringrud, mother of his children; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death included his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Galen Buringrud, three brothers, Wendell, Dean and Galen.

A tribute to Harold will be held Thursday, July 28 at 5 p.m. at the American Legion, St. Ansgar.
