Barrett, Formerly of Osage, Dies in Kansas

OSAGE, IOWA — Edwin Barrett, a former Osage resident, is dead at Abilene, Kansas, according to word received from former Osage residents.

Born in Wisconsin Nov. 5, 1869, he came with his parents, Mr and Mrs. Edwin Henry Barrett, by covered wagon. Lived at Miltonvale, Kansas, and in 1922 was married to Ella Winifred Crawford.

Survivors include his sons, John of Lawrence, Kansas; William of Solomon, Kansas, and Walter of Abilene, Kansas; three grandchildren and two sisters.
