Maude C. Lewis - MRS. HOWARD LEWIS
Maude C. (Johnson) Lewis, 92, of Forest City, Iowa, and formerly of Osage and Orchard, died on Thursday, November 14, 1996, at the Good Samaritan Center, Forest City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Hanson of Osage and the Rev. David Samuelson of Forest City officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage.
Maude C. Lewis was born May 21, 1904, on the Smalley family farm east of Orchard.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Lewis of Forest City; one daughter, Elaine Campney of Forest City; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Marita Almquist of Rockville, Md., and Patricia Vagenas of Newark, Del.; six stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Katie Winer of Mankato, Minn.; and three brothers, Melbourne Smalley of Orchard, Ralph Smalley of Des Moines, and Maurice Smalley of Osage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one sister and three brothers.
