CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - Leo A. Miller, age 66, of 396 Teakwood Lane N.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, December 25, 1999, at his home following a short illness of cancer. He was formerly of Clear Lake, Iowa and Austin, Minnesota.

He was born on November 30, 1933, at Stacyville, Iowa, to Hubert and Rena Micheals.

He married Mary Ellen Adams Sept. 28, 1954, at Meyer, Iowa. He was employed by Hormel Foods Corporation in Austin, Minn. He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Clear Lake, Iowa; and Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Austin, Minn. He also belonged to Eagles, Elks and Catholic Foresters' organization and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, May Ellen; two sons, Dennis and his wife, Teresa, St. Louis, Mo., and Doug Miller and wife, Barb, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter, Donna Petersen and her husband, David, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a brother, Victor, Mason City, Iowa; two sisters, Mary Ann Mayer and her husband, Eugene, Austin, Minn.; and Magdalene Judd and her husband, Duane, Austin, Minn., two sisters-in-law, Ann Miller, Austin, Minn. and Mag Miller, McHenry, Illinois; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ivan and Clarence.

· Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with the Rev. Mark Osterhaus officiating. Military rites will be conferred by Hanford American Legion Post No. 5.

· Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today Monday, Dec.27, 1999, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home with a Scripture Wake service at 7 p.m. also Monday and one hour before services Tuesday at the church.

· Funeral Home: Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

CEDAR RAPIDS - Leo A. Miller, 66, of 396 Teakwood Lane N.E., formerly of Austin, Minn., and Clear Lake, died Saturday (Dec. 25, 1999) at his home following a short illness with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. Mark Osterhaus officiating. Military rites by Hanford American Legion Post No. 5 will be a part of the service.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, 4200 First Ave. N.E., Cedar Rapids, with a scriptural wake service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue after noon until the time of the service at the church Tuesday.

Leo was born Nov. 30, 1933, in Stacyville to Hubert and Rena Micheals Miller. He married Mary Ellen Adams on Sept. 28, 1954, in Meyer. He was a laborer for the Hormel Company in Austin, Minn.

Leo was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and a peacetime U.S. Navy veteran.

Leo is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, two sons, Dennis and his wife, Teresa, of St. Louis, Mo., and Doug Miller and his wife, Barb, of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Donna Petersen and her husband, David, of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Victor Miller, of Mason City; two sisters, Mary Ann Mayer and her husband, Eugene, of Austin, Minn., and Magdalene Judd and her husband, Duane, of Albert Lea, Minn; two sisters-in-law, Ann Miller of Austin, Minn., and Mag Miller of McHenry, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ivan and Clarence.
