John M. Nelson, 78, died ... of injuries suffered in a single car accident three miles north of Grafton, Iowa.
He was a retired farmer in the Rose Creek area and is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Helen) Baldner . . . Mrs. Amanda Fossey . . . and Mrs. William (Lula) Klusmeier of Rose Creek; three brothers, Alfred of Rose Creek, El . . . and Raymond of Austin.
Funeral services will be held Friday.

GRAFTON, IOWA -- John M. Nelson, 78, of the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar, Iowa, died in a one-car accident Monday morning at the intersection of two Worth county blacktop roads about three miles north of Grafton.
The car in which Nelson was riding was driven by William Howard Klusmeier, 57, rural Rose Creek, Minnesota. Authorities said it went out of control as Klusmeier attempted to stop.
The eastbound car crossed the intersection, went into a ditch and rolled onto its top.
Klusmeier and his wife, Lila, were admitted to Mercy Hospital, Mason City. Mrs. Klusmeier was treated for back and knee injuries along with cuts and bruises, while Klusmeier was treated for facial and possible back and wrist injuries. Both were reported in satisfactory condition.
Nelson had been a patient at Mercy Hospital and was being returned to St. Ansgar by his sister, Mrs. Klusmeier, and her husband. The mishap occurred at 11 a.m.
Worlein Funeral Home in Austin is in charge of arrangements.
