SUCCUMBS TO
PARALYTIC STROKEOSAGE, IOWA -- Funeral services are pending at the Champion Funeral Home here for Mrs. Merrill Shupe, 64. She died Monday morning following a stroke at her home.
Born Lula Beal, on March 24, 1894, she was the daughter of Solomon and Myrtle Beal. She was reared in a Davenport, Iowa orphanage, and was married to Merrill Shupe on March 22, 1914. The couple lived near McIntire and LeRoy, Minnesota, until coming here in 1952.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. William (Margaret) French, Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Edward (Helen) Pell, Osage; eight grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Carl Shupe, Dunkerton; Mrs. Roxie Wilson, Tama; and Mrs. Peter Pandis, Great Falls, Montana.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons.
