According to another source (see "Alternate Link" below), he was born Ole Mortenson Stromley (or Strommelie); was born in Roros, Norway in 1853 and died on February 20, 1933.

County Pioneer Held
in Northwood ChurchNORTHWOOD, Iowa Feb. 25 [1933]— Funeral services for Ole Stromley, 80, were leld this afternoon in the Synod Lutheran church. The Rev. A. J. Torgerson conducted the rites.
Burial was made in Sunset Rest cemetery beside his wife who preceded him in death in May, 1931. Mr. Stromley died at the home of his son, Christ Stromley, five miles west of Northwood, where he had made his home in recent months.
Another son, Martin Stromley, lives in Northwood. There are 12 surviving children, most of them living near Meltonville and Otranto in Mitchell county.
Mr. Stromley lived in Mitchell county for nearly 60 years. After their marriage in 1876, Mr. and Mrs. Stromley established the family home there and continued to reside in that county until the death of Mrs. Stromley In 1931.

Their children were: Clara Rosina, Martin Albert, Andrew, Carl Johan, Ragnild Josephine (Nickname "Rena"), Oscar, Henry, Christian, John Edwin (known as Edwin) Ella Othilda, Kaiser Ovenius (Sometimes spelled Kayser), Raymond Olander, and Jennie Marrine.
