John A. Rice 1919 - 1988
Funeral services were held Friday, September 2, 1988 at United Methodist Church, Cookson, Oklahoma, for John A. Rice, 69, of Vian, Oklahoma, and formerly of Osage.
Burial was at Cookson, Oklahoma. Mr. Rice died Sunday, August 28, 1988 at the home of his daughter in New Jersey.
Mr. Rice grew up in Osage and graduated from Osage High School. He served two years in the Navy during World War II.
He lived in Dayton, Ohio, Oklahome City and retired to live at Vian, Oklahoma.
His mother and father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Irene; a son, Marshall of San Bernardina, California, a daughter, Valerie Erickson of Cambridge, N.J.; a son, Mike of Midwest City, Oklahoma; a brother, Dean Rice of Osage; one sister, Marilyn Horner of Vandalia, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
