Memorial services were held Thursday, August 3, 1989 at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, for Robert Sheldon, 70, of Grants Pass, Oregon formerly of Osage. The Reverend John Gilbert of David Community Church, rural Osage, officiated and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. The body was cremated.
He was born March 15, 1919 in Osage a son of Walter E. and Gladys (French) Sheldon. He attended Osage Schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1936. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a baker and owned and operated bakeries in Osage, Santa Maria, California and Grants Pass, Oregon. He was a member of the American Legion, Osage.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Grants Pass, Oregon; one son, James W. of Reno, Nevada; three grandchildren; and one brother, Eugene of Clinton.
