Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 14, 1988 at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, for Nellie Richardson, 87, of Riceville. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Riceville.

She died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1988 at Stacyville Community Nursing Home, Stacyville, of natural causes.

She was born on May 19, 1901 on a farm in rural New Haven, the daughter of John and Anna Marie (Matson) Richardson.

She worked as a grocery clerk until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece.

Survivors include two brothers, Roy Richardson of McIntire, and Raymond Richardson of Riceville.
