ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Elder Dutte, 85, of St. Ansgar, died Wednesday (July 30, 2003) at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville, with the Rev. Dr. Elaine Siemsen officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements; (641) 713-4920.

Funeral services for Elder Dutte, 85, of St. Ansgar, who died July 30, 2003 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held on Saturday, August 2 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, with Rev. Dr. Elaine Siemsen officiating.
Elder was born March 26, 1918, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the son of Louis and Josephine (Bartz) Dutte. He was baptized at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville. He received his education at Drown School in Toeterville. On April 8, 1945, he married Dorothy Wolff at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle, Minnesota. They farmed near St. Ansgar for 25 years before moving to St. Ansgar. He worked for H.L. McKinley and Sons for 23 years.
