STACYVILLE, IOWA — Kevin J. Koenigs, 23, of Stacyville, died Saturday (May 31, 2003) of injuries he received in an auto accident near Little Cedar.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with the Rev. Mark Reasoner officiating. Interment will be in Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Visitation Catholic Church, where there will be a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Scripture service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before the services at the church Tuesday.
Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of the arrangements.
Kevin was born August 13, 1979, in Osage, the son of Kenneth and Veronica (Adams) Koenigs. He attended Visitation Catholic School in Stacyville and graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1998.
Kevin worked as a D.J. with Heartland Express and was a bartender at the Hang Out in Riceville.
He enjoyed music, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, being with his friends and his dog, Sparky.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Veronica Koenigs of Stacyville; three brothers, Brian Koenigs of Stacyville, Craig Koenigs of Cresco and Scott Koenigs of Stacyville; paternal grandfather, Al Koenigs of Stacyville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Clara and Ernest Adams, and paternal grandmother, Olive Koenigs.
