ANTON 'TONY' PIKE

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Anton "Tony" Pike, 90, of St. Ansgar, died Saturday (April 13, 2002) at his daughter's home in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2002, at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch, officiating. Burial will take place at the First Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S.. School St. in St. Ansgar. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

Anton Edwin "Tony" Pike was born on January 19, 1912, in Deer Creek Township, Iowa, to Edwin Roy Pike and Mary Johanna (Johnson) Pike.

He married Alice Campbell on July 5, 1942, in Austin Minn. He lived in the St Ansgar area all of his life.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar.

He enjoyed his big garden and playing cards. His biggest joy was his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alice, in 1995; four sisters, Laura, Evelyn, Pearl, and Dianna; four brothers, Erwin, Earl, Lawrence, and Warren.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet and husband, Earl Randall, of Waterloo, Susan and husband, Gary Squier, of Mason City; one son, Gerald and wife, Judy Pike, of Albert Lea, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Teresa Zuke, of Waterloo, Tamara and husband, Jeff Whalen, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brian and wife, Andrea Halama, of St. Paul, Minnesota, Jodee and husband Ben McCallum, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Michelle Squier of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Brian and wife, Ann Squier, Colo, Iowa, Kelly and husband, Kenny Walker, of Hampton, and Kyle and wife, Heidi Pike, of Buffalo Center; nine great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Joshua, Danielle, Kailey, Mason, Noah, Paige and Logan; one great-great-grandchild, Abigail; three sisters, Edna Knutson of California; Deloris Thompson, of Toeterville, and Crystal Braun, of Grafton; one sister-in-law, Bernice Pike, of Clear Lake.
