RICEVILLE, IOWA — Gertrude Rieken, 95, of Riceville, died on Tuesday, January 27, 1998, at the Riceville Community Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 1998, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riceville, with the Rev. Matthew Versemann officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Conway Funeral Home in Riceville, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. There will be additional visitation one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Gertrude Rieken was born on December 18, 1902, in Riceville.
Survivors include one son, Don Rieken, Osage; two daughters, Shirley Rieken, Osage, and Doris Steffen, Riceville; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Hedwig Fouts and Eda Rieken, both of Riceville, Martha Timmerman, Eagle Grove and Minnie Penny, Osage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.
