Birth: Feb. 12, 1942
Death: Jan. 31, 1976

Last rites for Morris Lievrouw Jr., 33, of Mitchell were held Tuesday morning. Mr. Lievrouw died Jan. 31, 1976 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. He had been ill since June when he underwent surgery for a malignant brain tumor at a Rochester hospital.

The Rev. John J.A. Breitbach was in charge of the rites at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church, and burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetary. Military rites were conducted by the honor guard of VFW Post 7920.

Morris Edward Lievrouw Jr. was born Feb. 12, 1942 in Osage, the son of Morris and Georgie Scofield Lievrouw. He grew to adulthood in Mitchell County and was employed for a time in Chicago before entering the army. Morris served in the Vietnam War.

Jeanette Maakestad and Morris Lievrouw were married April 30, 1967 in Chicago Illinois. They are the parents of Lisa Lievrouw and Spencer Lievrouw. He was a life long member of the Catholic Church and was also affiliated with VFW Post 7920.

Surviving are his wife Jeanette, daughter Lisa and son Spencer. Also a step-daughter Cindy (Mr. Kenneth) Boerjan of St. Ansgar, a step-son Lennie Hastings of Mitchell. His parents, one sister Peggy (Mrs. Dan) Freeman of Osage and one brother, David Lievrouw of Mitchell.

Preceding him in death was one brother, Gary Lievrouw.
