Adiel "Dell" Lievrouw
Birth: Jul. 1, 1903
Death: Jul. 21, 1985Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 24th for Adiel "Dell" Lievrouw, 82, a retired farmer and carpenter of Osage at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Joe Heinerman of St. Ansgar officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetary, Osage. He died Sunday, July 21, 1985, at the White House Nursing Home in Osage.
Mr. Lievrouw** as the son of Ivo and Rosedale Blondell Lievrouw and was born on July 1, 1903 in Denterghen Belgium. He was baptized and confirmed there. He came to the United States in 1912 and settled in the Austin/London Minnesota area.
In 1920 he came to Mitchell County and married Bertha Arickx of Mitchell on Feb. 28, 1927. He farmed and was a carpenter. From 1940 to 1979 he owned and operated the Lievrouw Body Shop in Osage as well.
Survivors includes his wife, Bertha; four daughters: Mrs. Gerald (Rose) Ostrander of Ottumwa, Iowa, Mrs. Bob (Mary Lee) Galey of Lubbock, Texas, Mrs. Dorothy Robertson of Eagle Nest, New Mexico, and Mrs. Kenneth (Erma) Johnson of Spokane, Washinton; four sons: Walter of Arlington, Texas, Charles of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Dale and Richard of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Achiel (Sally) DeSmet of Rock Island, Illinois, and two borthers Morris and Oscar Lievrouw of Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell County,Iowa.
