Ronald D. Zacharda, age 61, of 3700 Canterbury Drive, Bloomington, Minnesota, died on December 9, 2006. Ron was a highly respected, self-employed housing inspector and a member of the Housing Inspectors Association.
He was born on May 4, 1945 to Frank and Elfrieda B. Zacharda. Frank was born on July 6, 1913 and died in November 1986; Elfrieda was born on July 18, 1917 and died on April 14, 1997.
Ron graduated from St. Ansgar, Senior High School in 1963, and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Mankato State University. He held licenses to practice in Minneapolis, Bloomington, and Hopkins, Minnesota.
Ron is survived by his three children: Eric (Debra) Zacharda, Theresa (Jeff) Bloedel, and Sarah (Peter) Guevara; by grandchildren: Ethan, Madelynn, Brenden, Julian, and Val; and by a sister, Fran Zacharda.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at St. Michaels Lutheran Church, 9201 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington.
Interment was at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Washburn-McReavy Werness Bros. Chapel, 952-884-8145, was in charge of funeral arrangements.
