OSAGE, IOWA - Nettie Koeff, age 94, of Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, died on Friday, August 8, 2008, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Nettie was born on June 12, 1914, at Napoleon, North Dakota, the daughter of John and Mary (Kalianoff) Keroff. She moved to Waverly, Iowa, where she was united in marriage to Veleko Koeff on May 7, 1937. They lived near Waverly and then moved to a farm near New Haven. Veleko passed away in 1966. In 1968, Nettie moved to Osage, where she worked at the White House Nursing Home for 16 years.
She was very active in the Ever Ready Circle at the First Baptist Church in Osage. She was also active in the Kitchen Klatter Band, and enjoyed her involvement in her Neighborhood Club and Birthday Club.
Nettie really enjoyed the numerous bus trips she took, and especially enjoyed the special times that she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Osage, with Pastor Paul Brown officiating. Private family burial will be at the Harlington Cemetery in Waverly.
Nettie is survived by two sons, William (Bette) Koeff of Orchard and Tony (Virginia) Koeff of Janesville; a sister, Lydia Grekoff of Steele, N. D.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Veleko Koeff; three brothers and three sisters.
