Roger William Carmody, 78, of Gravette, Arkansas died Thursday, July 24, 2008 in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
He was born on February 13, 1930 in Rock Falls, Iowa to John and Josephine Carmody.
He married Mabel Teepe Hines on October 9, 1954 in Preston, Minnesota. He was a retired salesman. Mr. Carmody was a member of the Hiwasse First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Joan Schroeder; his parents; four sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include, his wife of 54 years, Mabel Carmody, a son, David Carmody and wife, LauraLynn of West Union, Iowa; a step-daughter, Janet Hilsman, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a son-in-law; Dennis Schroeder of Pinedale, Wyoming; one sister, Rosella Mayo of the Chicago, Illinois area; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held at on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Hiwasse Baptist Church, Hiwasse, Arkansas. A second Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Orchard, Mitchell county, Iowa with Mike Carmody officiating. Burial will be at the Orchard Cemetery.
Arrangements made by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
