Valetta Isabelle Thomas Anderson, age 91, of Northwood, Worth county, Iowa, died on Friday May 9th, 2008 at Muse Norris Hospice inpatient unit Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, Mitchell county, Iowa.
Valetta Isabelle Thomas was born on July 23, 1916 in Worth county, Iowa, to Fay and Gertrude Thomas.
She married Gilbert O. Anderson on March 16, 1942. They were blessed with four children: Eugene, Mary, Sharon and Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Gertrude Thomas, her husband of 58 years, Gilbert, and by her brothers, Leland, Clayton and Orville Thomas.
She is survived by her loving family, Eugene Anderson of Carpenter, Iowa, Mary (Wilmer) Bachman of West Bend, Iowa, Sharon (Bill) Sloss of Stuart, Iowa, and Thomas (Linda) Anderson of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Also by three grandchildren: Abigail Sloss of Chicago, Illinois, Grant Sloss of Los Angeles, California, and Clinton Sloss of Ames, Iowa.
