Funeral services for Gerald H. Duren, 70, formerly of Stacyville, who died Thursday, June 13 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tomah, WIS, were held Monday, June 17, 1991 at the Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, with the Rev. Paul Otting officiating.
Gerald Duren was born August 2, 1920 in Cazenorua, Wisconsin, a son of John and Mary (Weber) Duren. He attended school in Meyer and Stacyville. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II he became a patient in the Veterans Hospital.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Madeline) Blaser, Austin, Minn., Mrs. Vernon (Priscilla) Kiefer of Adams, Minn., and Mrs. John (Olga) Thurnau of St. Ansgar; seven brothers, Elijuis and Stephen of Austin, Minnesota; Raphael and John Jr. of Osage; Otto of Lyle, Minn., Hubert of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Joseph of Stacyville and fifty-three nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
Burial was in Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville.
