Funeral services for Martha Rose Kruse, 79, Stacyville, who died at her home February 8, were held Monday, February 10 at Visitation Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Otting officiating. Burial was in Visitation Cemetery.
Mrs. Kruse was born Martha Rose Wagner to parents Joseph Wagner and Kathryn Huemann of Meyer on Feb. 28, 1912. She attended school at Meyer.
October 18, 1938 she was united in marriage to Leo C. Kruse, and they farmed in the Meyer area until they retired. She was an active member of the Visitation Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and her church circle.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, her parents, sister Adella Koenigs, and brothers, Frank, Louie and Albert.
She is survived by four children, Clarence P. Kruse, Osage; Dennis A Kruse, Rochester, Minnesota; Dorothy Jones, St. Charles, Minn.; Samuel H. Kruse, Meyer; three brothers, Tony Wagner; Ray Wagner and Herbert Wagner; two sisters-in-law, Irene Wagner and Laverna Kruse; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
