Dies At Mason City
Following Operation

Mrs. Adolph Hansen died Sunday morning at Mercy hospital at Mason City, following an operation
performed Friday. Mrs. Hansen had not been in poor health but was stricken suddenly with an aliment for which she had been operated on more than 19 years ago.

She was rushed to the hospital following the attack but was too weak to survive the ordeal of the surgery.

Katie Miller was born Dec. 18, 1871, near Stacyville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Miller. She spent her girlhood in that vicinity and in 1895 was married to Adolph Hansen. They established their home on a farm 6 miles northwest of Osage and had lived there since.

Mr. and Mrs. Hasen had just observed their 48th wedding anniversary. The deceased was of a friendly, kind, disposition, and was generous to a fault. All who knew her will remember her as a good neighbor, an excellent wife and mother.

She leaves four children, a son, Harry, of Riceville and three daughters, Mrs. Gilman Rust of St. Ansgar; Mrs. Charles Lincke and Mrs. Earl Thompson, of Osage. A brother, Harvey Miller, of Mitchell, and a sister Alice, of St. Ansgar, also survive.

Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 p.m. at Champions' funeral home and at 2 p.m. at St. Ansgar Methodist church. Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery.
