Alice N. (Amundson Olson) Nack, age 88, of Osage, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at her home in Osage. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, 3269 Foothill Avenue, Osage, with Rev. R. Dawson Tornes officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage and will continue one hour before services at the church.
Memorials may be given to Rock Creek Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.
Alice was born August 25, 1919, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Gustie (Erikson) Amundson.
She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage. On October 24, 1934, she married Olaf Olson. To this union, one child, Norma Jean, was born, who died in infancy. On November 8, 1975, she married Donald "Bud" Nack.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Norma Jean; both husbands, Olaf Olson in 1966 and Donald "Bud" Nack in 1987; a sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Vernon Cockrum; two brothers, Hilmer and Alvin Amundson; brother-in-law, Glenn Olson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Gladys Shoger; sister-in-law, Rozella Nack; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lester and Dallas Rowe.
Alice is survived by a brother, Vernon Amundson of Osage; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Amund-son of Osage; Doris Keebler of Peoria, Arizona; a brother-in-law, Dean Nack of Osage and family; twelve nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
