ANDREW SCOTT
22 Apr 1878
09 Aug 1902

Andrew Scott, after an illness of 5 weeks, died Saturday at 1:30. These weeks were of patient endurance, no murmur having passed his lips.

He was taken with a hemorrhage of the bowels, eventually running into typhoid fever, which terminated his life.

He was born April 22, 1878 in Jamestown, Howard County.

He lived in the country all of his life. He along with his mother moved to Riceville in this spring, when Andrew opened a photographic gallery in the Scott building and had begun to draw quite a little business.

He was quite a musician, the harp being his favorite instrument of which he was no mean player. He was a member of the Alta Vista orchestra and had a large patronage around the whole country.

He leaves behind him a widowed mother, his father having died but little over a year ago, also a brother, Charles of this place and a sister, Mrs. Lena McInroy who lives on the home place. The funeral services were conducted by pastor A.K. Lewis at the Baptist church Monday forenoon.
