Ethel Erma (Blake) Bartholmey, age 76, formerly of Austin, Mower county, Minnesota, died on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Season’s Hospice in Rochester, Minnesota.
Ethel was born on December 13, 1930, in Stacyville, Mitchell county, Iowa to William and Gertrude (Hackenmiller) Blake. She was one of 13 children.
On August 9, 1950 she married Duane “Bart” Bartholmey in Stacyville. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1988.
Survivors include her six children: Brian (Debra) Bartholmey, Rochester, Minnesota; Kevin “Bart” (Marjorie) Bartholmey, Adams, Minnesota; Jean (Alan) Heimer, Rochester; Jill (Todd) Peterson, Austin, Minnesota; Dawn (Daniel) Musial, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and Ann (Kimberly) Dublin, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; her fourteen grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and her three brothers and six sisters.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and two sisters.
A funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemeterym, Austin, Minnesota.
The casket bearers were: Brian Bartholmey, Kevin Bartholmey, Alan Heimer, Todd Peterson, Daniel Musial and Kimberly Dublin.
The Mayer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
