Robert L. Wagner, 65, of Osage, Iowa, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at his home, following a brief illness. A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. According to Robert's wishes, his body was cremated.

Robert was born on October 10, 1941, in Little Cedar, the son of Earl and Aterna (Falk) Wagner. He served in the U.S. Army, and after returning from the service, he engaged in farming with his brother.

Robert married Marlene Kindschuh on April 19, 1969, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. Robert had worked for Wright's Tree Service, Interstate Power, and most recently the Chicago Northwestern Railroad.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Wagner of Osage; by two daughters, Angela Baer of Osage and her children: Jessica, Zachery, Adam and Kaitlyn; and Judi Halbach and husband, Chad of Orchard and their children: Gracie, Chase and Brooklynn; by two sons, Larry Wagner and special friend, Lisa Blake of Osage and their children, Jacob and Austin; and Gary Wagner and wife, Diane of Osage and their children: Seth, Hank and Sabree; by a brother, Paul Wagner and wife, Minerva of Osage; by two sisters, Delores Kroneman and husband, Glen of Carpenter, and Evelyn Gilson of Lamont; and friend of family, Mary Ann Dozark of Lamont; by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wagner of Osage; and by a brother-in-law, Denny Johnson and special friend, Judy Olson of Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by by his parents; by a sister, Lucille Johnson; by a brother, Vincent Wagner; by a niece Kathy Johnson; and by a nephew Mike Wagner.
