Mrs. Tillie M. Thome, 80, died Sunday noon at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage. She was a lifelong resident of Stacyville and made her home at an apartment there.
Funeral services were held yesterday (Wed.) morning at the Visitation Catholic Church with pastor Rev. Robert J. Reiss celebrating the funeral Mass.
Hatten Funeral Home was in charge of interment with burial in the Visitation Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Earl, Peter Marzen, Dale Heimer, Norbert Thome, Gregor Thome and Lloyd Bartholmey. Honorary bearers were Theresa Blake, Elizabeth Isaac, Margaret Heimer, Frances Kramer, Monica Earl and Clara Adams.
Tillie M. (Bartholmey) Thome was born in Stacyville, February 8, 1897, the daughter of John and Anna Mary (Heimer) Bartholmey.
She was united in marriage December 29, 1920 in Stacyville to William Thome. He preceded her in death April 10, 1941.
Surviving are a brother, Aloys Bartholmey, St. Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Marcell Kingfield, Sac City and Mrs. Magdalen McMahon, Mankato; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward, Joseph, Albert, Alex and Clem; a sister, Marie, died in infancy.
