Lillian Leah Wilcox age 81, of Riceville passed away at the Riceville Community Rest Home on Monday, May 7, 2007. Funeral services were held at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Friday, May 11, 2007 with Pastor Matt Ness officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband Robert "Willie" of Riceville, three daughters, Sharon Lovelace, Connie J. Fox, and Nancy Wolthoff, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren. Also surviving are step-children, brothers and sisters.

Lillian Leah Wilcox, age 81, of Riceville passed away at the Riceville Community Rest Home on Monday, May 7, 2007. Funeral services will be held at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Friday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Matt Ness officiating. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa.
Lillian was born on February 25, 1926 in Jerome, Idaho to James and Leah (Newbry) Cook. She attended local schools.
Lillian was united in marriage to Russell Fox on February 13, 1943 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. To this union four daughters were born. They were divorced in 1967. Lillian worked at the American Heritage in Waterloo, Iowa and later as a certified nursing assistant at the Adams Nursing Home in Adams, Minnesota. Lillian lived up to her maiden name in that she loved cooking and baking. She loved gardening with the help of her daughters and loved singing, dancing and visiting with friends and family. Lillian was a loving wife and mother.
Lillian was united in marriage to Robert "Willie" Wilcox on December 2, 1969 in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Survivors include her husband Robert "Willie" of Riceville, three daughters: Sharon (Larry) Lovelace of Riceville, Connie J. Fox of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and Nancy (Russell) Wolthoff, of Riceville, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six step grandchildren. Also surviving are two step-children: Julie (Gary) Lucas of Mason City, Iowa and Bill (Lisa) Wilcox, LeRoy, Minnesota, Lillian's brothers: Bill (Kay) Cook of Spokane, Washington, Dan (Betty) Cook of Mitchell, Washington, Gary (Betty) Cook of Spokane, Washington, and an adopted brother Mickey (Diane) Cook of Spokane, Washington, and three sisters: Doris Woods and Pat Schneider, both of Spokane, Washington, and Jean Swanson of Mica, Idaho. Three Sister-in-laws: June Gansen of Mason City, Iowa, Janet (Gerry) Haagenson of Mabel, Minnesota, Linda (Tom) Walker of Lake City, Minnesota; and four brother-in-laws: Dale Wilcox of Clear Lake, Leon (Robin) Wilcox and Russell (Jessie) Wilcox both of Brownsdale, Minnesota, and Tom (Lisa) Wilcox of LeRoy, Minnesota.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Debbie Gansen, in June of 1995, a step-daughter, a grandchild, three brothers and one sister.
