Former Mitchell County Boy
Dies in New Hampshire

The Exeter (N.H.) News-Letter of March 6 carried the death notice of Fred L. Wentworth, a former Mitchell county boy. Mr. Wentworth's widow is Mrs. Frank Jacob's niece, and the Jacobs' visited the Wentworth's in New Hampshire last fall.

The obituary follows:

Fred L. Wentworth, a well known resident of Exeter for thirty years, died at his home on Beech Hill in Exeter, Saturday March 1. He had been in failing health for some time.

Mr Wentworth was born in Mitchell county, Iowa, the son of John A. and Rachel (Griffith) Wentworth.

He had long managed the University of New Hampshire book store in Durham and was a Mason.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Pearl Wentworth; a son, John R. of Exeter; a grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Cutting, Riceville, Iowa.

Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home on Beech Hill, conducted by the Rev. Paul T. Martin. Burial was in the Exeter cemetery.
