Heart Attack Fatal To Levi Paul, 84.
Funeral services for Levi Paul, 84, of Riceville were held last Thursday at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage. Mr. Paul died of a heart attack at Mitchell County Memorial hospital on April 13, 1965.
The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer, pastor of Little Cedar Methodist church, was in charge of the services. Burial was at Riverside cemetery in Riceville.
Levi Joe Paul was born February 22, 1881, near McIntire, Mitchell county, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Paul.
He was united in marriage to Ella Barenz on March 4, 1902. He spent his entire life farming in Mitchell and Howard counties. They retired from the farm to live in Riceville.
Mr. Paul cared for his invalid wife, Ella, 20 years until her death June 4, 1944. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, Arthur, Walter, two sisters, Belle and Jessie, and one great-grandson.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Velma Stout of Little Cedar; his son, Ray of Lakeside, Calif., three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Randell of Marshalltown, and Mrs. Bertha Betts from Idaho, and one brother, George of Stockton, Calif.
