Funeral services for Mollie H. Moen, 92, of Nora Springs, Iowa, were held on Monday, December 4, 2006, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage, Iowa. Rev. Dennis Hanson and Rev. Roy Ott officiated. Interment was in the Osage Cemetery. Mollie died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Pallbearers were Lester Benttine, Stanley Ask, Bud Bahnsen, Scott Moen, Carol Kastler, and Dwayne Christiansen. Honorary pallbearers are Janice Benttine, Cynthia Ehrhart, Pauline Bahnsen, Mary Louise Byington, Marlene Kastler, Jeanette Borchardt, and Marlys Kramm.

Mollie was born January 5, 1914, at Manly, Iowa, the daughter of Sonke and Marie (Hansen) Christiansen. In February of 1932, she was married to Lloyd O. Moen of Carpenter, Iowa. They farmed in rural Osage throughout their years together. They had three children. After Lloyd's death in 1994 she moved to Osage, and in 2004 to Nora Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lloyd; one son Roger; one sister Tillie; and one brother, Broder.

Mollie is survived by two sons, Gene Moen of Nora Springs, and Ron Moen of Clarkston, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Brenda Dilbeck of Tulsa, Okla., Scott Moen of Austin, Minn., Kathy Stowe of Broken Arrow, Okla., Donna Moen of Tulsa, Okla., Christy Moen of Topeka, Kan., Tracy Moen Victor of Sylvan Lake, Mich., Evan Moen of Clarkston, Mich.; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews; and lots of friends who she continued to cherish and nurture throughout her 92 years.
