LYLE, MINNESOTA -- The funeral for Dorinda Mae Holst will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lyle, with the Rev. Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Burial will be in Woodbury Cemetery in Lyle.

Mrs. Holst, 52, of Lyle, died Wednesday evening (April 29, 1998) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Dorinda Mae Pahl was born May 2, 1945, in Osage, Iowa, and graduated from high school in St. Ansgar, Iowa, in 1963. After receiving a teaching degree from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, she taught in Austin and Lyle schools until retiring due to medical reasons. On Jan. 28, 1967, she married Galen Holst. Mrs. Holst was a longtime member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lyle, a member and past president of the American Legion Auxilairy, and served as clerk for the city of Lyle and as a City Council member. She enjoyed oil painting, writing, calligraphy, sewing and reading.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steven of Austin and Scott of Lyle; two grandchildren; her mother, Dorothy (Pagel) Pahl of St. Ansgar; and two brothers, Norman Pahl of St. Ansgar and Howard Pahl of Frederic, Wis. Her father and a brother preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
