AUSTIN, MINNESOTA -- Walter C. Borchardt, 90, of 1913 Second Ave. S.E., died Friday (Feb. 9, 1996) at Burr Oak Manor nursing home in Austin.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; a son, Gary of Cordova, Illinois; a stepson, Randy Miller of Clarks Grove; three stepdaughters, Sandra (Mrs. Gus) Gaughran, Marsha stet (Mrs. Dennis) Shaw and Linda (Mrs. Bill) Nicol, all of Austin; two grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a brother, Ervin Borchardt of California and a sister, Erma Loney of Wisconsin.
The funeral was at 2 p.m today in Grace Lutheran Church in Austin, with the Rev. Bruce Wilder officiating. Burial was in St. Ansgar Cemetery in St. Ansgar, Iowa.
The family prefers memorials to Grace Lutheran Church. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary of Austin was in charge of arrangements.
