Funeral services for Nancy L. Rogers, age 66, of Osage, Iowa, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church in Osage, with Rev. Dr. J. Samuel Subramanian and Pastor Mike Augsburger officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Nancy died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center-Hospice Unit in Osage, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born on January 2, 1940 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Norris and Leah (Bartelson) Scott.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Rogers on July 20, 1957 in South Sterling, Pa. Nancy and Lawrence farmed for many years southwest of Osage. She worked for the last ten years at the west Casey's in Osage as a pizza maker until she recently retired. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Osage.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence in 1995, her father Norris, and her brother Jim.

Nancy is survived by her children, Larry (Deb) Rogers of Altoona, Tim (Jolene) Rogers of Ringsted, Julie (Larry) Fredrickson of Manly, Danny (Lisa) Rogers of Osage, Melody Rogers of Osage, Scott (Kellie) Rogers of Osage; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Leah Scott of Tobyhanna, Pa; one sister Judy Evans of Tobyhanna, Pa; several nieces and nephews; and many relatives and special friends.
