Funeral services for Mrs. Otto W. Tesch,77, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, who died April 22, 1983 at Mercy hospital in Mason City, Iowa, were held April 25, 1983 at First Lutheran church in St. Ansgar with the Rev. Thomas Hughes officiating.

Mildren (Thorson) Tesch was born on February 3, 1906, on a farm in Newburg township, the daughter of Ole E. and Amelia (Moe) Thorson -- the seventh of nine children. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran church here. She attended rural school, graduated from St. Ansgar high school, and attended Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis for two years.

On September 11, 1928 she married Otto W. Tesch, and they farmed until 1971 when they retired to St. Ansgar. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1978, They were the parents of three daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Otto, who died in October of 1982, and by three brothers, Roy, Clifford and Donald Thorson.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Reginald (June) Torrison of Rosemount, Minnesota; Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Jaspers of Greene, Iowa; Mrs. Gerald (Joanne) Ortman of Munster, Indiana; also by six grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jerry and Jill Torrison, and Lori, Scott and Brian Jaspers; by three brothers: W. Leon Thorson, of Palm Beach, Florida; Hubert of Mason City and Annis of St. Ansgar; and by two sisters: Alma Sanders of Mason City, Iowa; and Rose Fries of Kansas City, Missouri.

Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery, St. Ansgar.
