Funeral services for Frederick H. Tesch, 84, who died at his home in St. Ansgar February 12, 1983 were held February 15 at St. Peter Lutheran church, Toeterville, Iowa, with the Rev. Charles Bunk officiating.

Frederick Herman Ferdinand Tesch was born January 22, 1899 in Rock township, Mitchell county, the son of August and Wilhelmine (Bartz) Tesch. He was baptized February 19, 1899 at St. John's Lutheran church, Rock township, by the Rev. J. Becker, and confirmed March 16, 1913 by the Rev. Bischoff.

He married Malinda Trettin on September 5, 1922 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton, Iowa. Following their marriage they moved to a farm near Lyle, Minnesota, where they lived for nearly 55 years. They retired to St. Ansgar in July 1977.

Mr. and Mrs. Tesch celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary September 5, 1982. He enjoyed good health until the time of his death.

Mr. Tesch is survived by his wife, Malinda; several nieces and nephews, Daryl Tesch of Mason City,; Mrs. Marilyn Katcavage of South St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. Marlene Sowers of Swartz Creek, Michigan; Mrs. Phyllis Schmidt of Plymouth; Dale Trettin of Grafton; Mrs. Maxine Altus of Altus, Oklahoma; Clyde Glassel of Grafton; Leland Buechele of Wapello and Gary Smith of Fort Collins, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by a daughter who died in infancy; his parents and three brothers.

Burial was in St. Peter Lutheran cemetery, Toeterville, Iowa, with Rev. Bunk in charge of committal services.
