MARRIED.
The marriage of Geo. E. Marsh, Esq. and Miss Maud Louise Hawley was quietly celebrated at the Hawley mansion last evening, at 7 o’clock. Only relatives were present to witness the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Calvin B. Moody, pastor of the Congregational church.
Mr. and Mrs. Marsh took carriage forRiceville{sic} immediately after the marriage, with the intention of enjoying a two weeks’ wedding trip in Chicago and other points.
Though the event was not wholly unlooked for the quietness and privacy of its consummation has set society agog.
Mr. Marsh stands in the front rank of the Mitchell County Bar, and since his settlement in Osage he has attained a large and lucrative practice, and the lady whom he has spirited away has been one of the brightest lights in the social circles of Mitchell county, and that in the sense of being a true lady of high education, and brilliant accomplishments. The News joins their many friends in extending hearty congratulations.-{Osage News
