AFFIDAVIT: May 3, 1954.

We, Frank Joseph Spitz and Bertha Anna Spitz, being first duly sworn do each depose and say that we are the same persons who were married in Floyd County, Iowa, on the 12th day of January, 1920; that in the marriage certificate the name of the groom appears as Francis Aloysius Spitz; that said name was the baptismal name of the groom but upon his Confirmation in the Catholic Church he adopted the name Frank Joseph Spitz (in about the year 1902) and has ever since gone by the name of Frank Joseph Spitz.
